The Day I Saw My Father Cry is about Little Bill and his family experiencing a loss in their family. The father's friend pass away and he is saddened and starts to cry. The family is experiencing emotions and a hard time. I would read this book to a lower level grade and introduce the students to different type of emotions. I would give my students a scenario and allow them to draw how they fell about a particular situation.
